18.0. "converting ail message to Interleaf?" by WORDY::CHANDONAIT (set me free in the deep blue sea) Wed Mar 07 1990 12:28

    I'm not sure how to go about converting a mail message into an
    Interleaf file. An engineer mailed me some information that I'd like to
    put in my document without typing it all myself.

18.1Converting ASCII files to InterleafLEAF::SAHAGIANTue Mar 13 1990 14:2916
    Extract the mail message into a file.
    Move the file to your desktop directory.
    Open your Interleaf desktop.
    Open the file immediately or run it through OPSFILT.

    If you open the file immediately, there may be extra spaces in it if
    the text was justified. Running it through OPSFILT (available in the
    Communications Cabinet, Custom Cabinet) with the flag that eliminates
    spaces cleans up the text; however, it destroys tables. (Refer to
    Interleaf's File Transfer Manual to get information about flags to use
    with OPSFILT).

    If you have a table that looks better in the unfiltered version but
    your text looks better in the filtered version, copy the table from the
    unfiltered version and paste it into the filtered version. Thus you
    get the best of both worlds.
