JANUARY 11 1996 - NSCC MEETING
TOOLS SUPPORT
Kathy Icenolge updated us on tools and technologies for our cc center.
She then presented her teams findings to us. She did mail this
document out, but if you deleted it, it can be copied from:

She agreed to create a NSCC notesfiles. In this notesfiles would
be all the Tools Strategy meeting minutes, pointers to other notesfiles
for tools help, helpful tips she has acquired, tools problems
that have arisen.
Evelyn spoke a little about the Q3 NSCC Training calendar. It was
distributed both at the meeting, hardcopy and also on line, if you don't
have and want a copy please let Joyce know, she will forward it out to
you.
Evelyn then spoke a little about the some other tasks this team is
trying to accomplish. A job aid for the group. A job aid is a step
by step process for completing a discrete task. If you wish to write
one or more job aids, please contact Joanne Roberts (BOOKS::ROBERTS).
GRAPHIC DESIGNERS
Our CC center now has three new graphic designers current support
assignments to the following workgroup(s).
Ron Walsh Al LaChance and Evelyn McKay
Leslie Barrett Ellen Pzegeo and Joanne Sterling
Phil Fotos Mary Jane Grinham and Jo Fogarty
Pam Keenan Liz Gabel
Mike Plourde, who works for Lynda Petralia, will also support the
usability folks.
MISCELLANEOUS
Pat encouraged all to attend the Harry Copperman DVN.
Pat also encouraged all to the attend the upcoming EISE. It is scheduled
for 2/7 and 2/8.
Two new folks have joined our group:
Polly Prescott at ZKO she will be working on Solution Sets.
Dan Hiller at SHR he will be working in Video on Demand.
Next Meeting will be Feb. 15th --- Time, Place and Topics
will be forthcoming.
FORECAST INFORMATION
Our new forecast process calls for each project manager to
forecast project labor spending and miscellaneous charges.
The workgroup list was distributed by Joyce on 1/17/96.

March 21 NSCCC Meeting
I. CHANGES IN THE CSBU - Pat Baker
Five people will be reporting to ISBU Engineering effective April 1st.
Those people are Mary Orcutt, Jim Carrig, Ron Brown, Gerry Fisher
and Rob Woodburn.
Ellen Pzegeo will change her role and become an Individual
Contributor in Q4.
II. SHORT TOPICS - All
Who is your supervisor?
The SES discussion on who is your supervisor resulted in no change.
Pat will remain your supervisor. Pat emphasized that your project
manager is responsible for your performance rating, inputs into
your salary review, recommends promotion, partners with
Pat in corrective action, and must input to your performance
review.
Pat explained the roles of:
- CCC Manager
- Project Leader
- Individual Contributor
- Administrator
Joyce will send them out for your review and comments. The PM and
AM roles will be surfacing soon.
Al LaChance is the contact person for all 2KP equipment needs.
Pat discussed the memo that went out regarding LKG System Management
support and roles.
III. Salary Planning - Terry LaPerle
Terry showed us how the current Salary Plan was developed. Human
Resources is working on a new Salary Plan, which should be finalized
by June or July.
Pat then discussed she completes the Salary Plan.

April 18 NSCCC Meeting
I. Web Services and Web Design Janet Piazza & Andrew Gent
Janet discussed the Internet program, the Information Station
and the SES Homepage. They are located at:

Andrew presented advantages and challenges of the Web and
explained components of the Web.
II. PM&D Survey Results Dale Arsenault
Dale presented the results of the survey and explained
how the results were reached. There was a general
discussion and some of the issues brought up were:
a. The relationship between SES and the customer.
b. The differences between the customer and client.
c. SES Standards
Pat said she would take on the following Action Items:
1. Pursue customer needs assessment and analysis for all
projects.
2. Review performance template.
3. Clarify what makes a 1, 2 and 3-level performer in NSCC
4. Review and communicate local R&R program to define
what warrants a reward and excellence performance
