A friend of mine recently got an offer and joined Bull. (Actually he
rejoined it, but that is not very pertinent;-) ).
That is surprising in itself. What surprised me more was that the
person is/has been a manager, not a developer, let us say - associated with
software, but not networking - and is well over 50 - the vulnerable age
group!
I was firmly convinced that BULL HN was going out of the development
business in the U.S. and that people - shall we say *mature* people
were being let go (very legally, of course - so no insinuations
intended).
What gives? Is it Phoenix (and I do not mean the operation in a city of
that name) rising from the ashes?
Anyone know?
Intrigued

Why assume any logic exists in their current hiring/firing practices?.
At this past XMAS time, I got an update from existing ( or was that
exiting) staff and the wierd sh*t still happens.
Or perhaps they are coming back to life. I just read that they were
awarded a contract to automate the Mass. State Supreme Court and beat
out IBM and DEC. But given the state of that state, the $ value may be
0. ;-)
