1.0. "Purpose of This Conference" by ULTRA::KINDEL (Bill Kindel) Tue Mar 31 1987 18:03

This conference is intended as an informal meeting place for former
employees of Honeywell Information System who are now at DEC.

It provides a simple mechanism for announcing new arrivals, passing
along news, and making the adjustment to the DEC culture.

This should be a friendly gathering, so I shouldn't have to remind you
that DEC policies prohibit the use of notes files for personal gain
and/or for personal attacks. Use it in good health.

It should go without saying that Honeywell Proprietary information
shouldn't be discussed here. For that matter, there's no reason
to discuss DEC's business here either. By keeping this note file
non-proprietary, we avoid inadvertant leakage between our former
    and present "lives".

I've put on my moderator hat and deleted what had been entered as note
20 and its replies (including my own). That note dealt with the
cancellation of an unannounced Honeywell Bull product with which
    several of us are/were familiar.

Please limit discussion to non-proprietary topics. As I see it, a
project cancellation and its effect upon our friends at HB would be
fair game; describing the project and/or referring to it by internal
    codenames is inappropriate here.
