Hi A couple of queries : 1. A customer mentioned a feature in the file system of SGI IRIS called "guranteed I/O bandwidth". Does anyone know what this means, how useful it is for commercial database applications ? 2. Any experiences on using the processor binding features of Digital Unix (runoncpu, bindtocpu) in commercial database applications ? When would one use it ? Thanks in advance. Ajit Kale

work with him. Mark gets in the office real early, to help those of us
who live way to the east of him....
