5316.0. "Searching for Location of MTBF Data" by 16632::GEORGES () Tue Jun 03 1997 18:57

I'm responding to an RFP and the customer is asking for Mean Time
Between Failure (MTBF) rates for our Alpha system boards and I/O
subsystems. Any idea where I could locate this information (or name of
applicable product manager)? We're planning on putting our RFP response
under nondisclosure, so I hope that this type of information can be
    shared in a protected fashion.

    Thanks,

Might try (in this order) the following if they are still around. If
you contact any one of them, they can either help you or send you in
the right direction. Worked for me last time - Don/Paul did it.

    Don Monaco / Paul Baumgarner
    Jane Mazzucovelli
    Rick Howe
    Mike Dacula (Gov't info)

    Good luck, Bob

While any one of those folks might be able to do it for you, your
official channel for such proprietary data is your sales organisations
Operations contact. This person will have access to an on-line system
that provides this data for most DIGITAL products.

mail david hulse @olo (warrington, england).

we put together a neat answer for a similar request in an ITT just
recently, and David has all the (recent) MTBFs to hand.

    enjoy
