I saw one of these yesterday too. It looks like they're doing a good
job of getting all the links updated, though - nice job of avoiding
downtime when switching servers. I'm impressed.
It would be nice if they could replace their "notfound" page with some
CGI that does the htp->asp replacement for the user and puts it in a link,
though. ("You may want to try <a href="blah.blah.asp">replacing htp with
asp</a>, or if that doesn't, work, <a href="/">start at the top page</a>.)
I'll bet a lot of people won't be able to follow the instructions
(or won't bother), and they'll be getting a lot of "notfounds" from
AltaVista, etc, for a while.

| Still the same... can't say that they're avoiding downtime...
And none of the links can save you. Feedback also not working.
I tried index.asp, default.asp, home.asp... No luck! I'd say
really bad planning! There is a link that's supposed to take you to
start page, the HTML is <A HREF="/"> !!

Now I'm just puzzled. I tried randomly hitting links today, starting at
http://www.windowsnt.digital.com/notfound.htm,
"Products", "Feedback", "Sales", and "start at the top level" all
worked for me.
I tried going in at the top level (http://www.windowsnt.digital.com),
and that worked correctly, as did a few random links from that top
page. I tried starting at the top level and following links as deeply
as I could go... still, no problems.
Trust me - I certainly don't want Digital portrayed as a bunch of
"bodgers." I just couldn't reproduce the problem here, and so I assumed it
was a temporary one that had been fixed.
