| 800-759-7243 will call sky page directly and skip the menu...

| Yeah, but if your pager is on Skytel, calling Skypage prolly won't work.

5171.3 | Just relabeled packaging. :-) | HSOSS1::HARDMAN | It's a girl! Now what? | Sat Mar 08 1997 13:04 | 16 |
| Nah, Skytel and Skypage get you to the same service. My customer even
has a totally different "MCI Pager" number that connects straight to,
you guessed it, Skytel. Now I don't have to remember their 800 number,
just the PIN. :-)
800-759-8888
800-759-7243
800-PAGE-MCI (or is it MCI-PAGE?)
All end up at the same place. There are a couple of others, but I can't
remember them right now. It appears that Skytel resells their service
to other companies. I probably really screw up their billing, but hey,
it's easier for me to remember!

5171.4 | Ask George Anestis @PTO | PTOJJD::DANZAK | Pittsburgher  | Sat Mar 08 1997 15:46 | 8 |
| I'd ask George Anestis of IM&T at PTO. George and I got the VOICEmail
system here set up so that you can have it page your SKYpager when you
have VOICEmail. It pages you with a "99" code.
So, my SINGLE point of customer contact can be my VOICEmail. Leave a
message and i'll get it. Tho I do leave other numbers for customers
(i.e. my car phone and Email) most like the one-stop shopping approach
to finding their techie.

5171.5 | thanks! | COPS01::cop-dhcp-2-215.cop.dec.com::skinnerj | | Mon Mar 10 1997 10:05 | 7 |
| Thanks.
When you set up remote notification in a Meridian Voice Messaging system, you
do give it the 800-Sky-Page (800-759-7243) number for Skytel, and indicate
that its a type 5 - paging service, when the menu prompts you.
