I have a friend who works in the government; her job is approve or disapprove ECP (Engineering Change Proposals). To do this, she must have access to ALL the latest products and prices from all her contractors. It just so happens that Digital is one of those contractors, and they buy literally MILLIONS of dollars worth of our products. Right now, she's using a price book from 1995. With the way things are changing, this is sadly out of date. Does anyone know how an external person can get ahold of such a book? I've done title searches in this notesfile and searches on our external website till I'm blue in the face. (Hey, I'm an engineer, I'm lucky if I know what the price of MY product is!) Any information gratefully accepted. Brian

I'd looked at BusinessLink, but wasn't sure that would do the job. Over the weekend in fact I asked her if online would be good enough, but I guess they have a problem with very slow networks and it can take way too long to access sites on the web. Although green at heart, in this case she much prefers hardcopy. Anyway, I appreciate Steve coming to the rescue to help us all out. Given how much they spend on our products, I think this is a very cheap way to continue to generate business. Brian |
