4743.0. "PostScript copy of UNIX Alpha Assembly language manual" by PADC::KOLLING (Karen) Mon Jul 22 1996 19:45

Excuse me, moderators, I'll delete this note shortly. Can
anyone point me at the PostScript copy of the UNIX Alpha
Assembly language manual? I've only been able to find the
VMS version online, and our version of dxbook doesn't print
    correctly. Thanks.

Here's a great pointer. Root down and you're find what you're looking
for. It's under Digital UNIX 4.0 Programming. Below is a listing.
Should have posted this in the Digital UNIX conference.

    	Regards,

I swear, Kam, you are faster than AltaVista! I put the V4.0 docs on
fluid yesterday. They will go over the wall to our Association of
Software & Application Partners (ASAP) Program pages soon.

I'll take that as a complement. This just illustrates a couple of
things: first, Conferences still have their place. I didn't use
AltaVista to retrieve this information. Second, we're a team helping
    each other.

Can I make one offer to hopefully improve the process. Can you provide
some sort of pointer to me so that I can convert these documents to a
PDF format. Therefore, I can read it on my PC, moreover, I can then
print to the printer of my choice which might not be a postscript
    printer.

No, it was a compliment. :-) Anyways, I do not have the sources to
the documentation. You'll have to talk to the Digital UNIX folks.
(Manager - Paul Hammerstrom) Digital's product documentation is
undergoing a re-vamp and they may have something in the works that you
    can read on your PC.

Maybe he's a complement to Alta Vista...

I couldn't find the manual at the URLS in .1, however someone
    pointed me to
    http://www.zk3.dec.com/~binder/platinum/Digital_UNIX_Bookshelf.html.

That has the manual, although only one (sub)section at a time seems
    to be printable.

>only one (sub)section at a time seems to be printable.

Maybe that's all that comes back from the binder at once.

I have a working pointer, to ftp: to oskits.zk3.dec.com in
    /docs/DECOSF1-V4.0/AA-PS31D-TET1.ps.Z. Thanks everyone,

Maybe the new Lycos machines will be a complement to AltaVista.
