Hi,
I am wondering whether this practice is a localised issue or is there
any warranty policy that describes the following:
- For system warranty, customers are asking for Preventive Maintenance
for their systems, eg Alphastation 600 or 250.
- In the past, we do perform two PM for large systems like VAX 6xxx,
7xxx systems
Can anyone provide some help on warranty status vs preventive
maintenance ?
Thanks,
Philip

Philip,
Alphastation 600 Product Service Plan (available from TIMA database for
details) states the following:
PRODUCT SERVICE INFORMATION
---------------------------
Service Tools and
Attributes:
Planned Service
Maintenance (HW only): None
Planned Customer
Maintenance (HW only): None
Hope this helps,
Nelson
