| | Probably would be a misuse of BOTH corporate identifiers, but we COULD
strike a deal with Wendy's and attach the DIGITAL logo...

    		...no...

    			forget I suggested that... :-)

| | When they close the building and remove the sign no one will know.
This bring the question, Was the sign really ever there?

    Or

There could be county regulations on sign size and hieght.

You are exactly right. I drove by there a couple of weeks ago and, not
being familiar with the building or the area, drove right past the
entrance before I realized by mistake. I finally caught a glimpse of
the buildings out of the corner of my eye. I never did see the
    street sight.

| | I've sent a note to the architect, Marty Lehman. Facilities did set
back the parking barriers for the 3-4 cars nearest the sign to improve
visibility. Perhaps more is needed. Dave Merrill

I spoke with Peter Sharon, Site Services Manager today and passed
on your concern which he was in agreement with. He is currently
reviewing the available options, such as setting the parking barriers
back as was mentioned in the previous reply (they got moved by snow
removal equipment this winter). Since MSO1 is filling up fast it would
be difficult to eliminate or alter too many more parking slots.

In New England, counties don't have control over this (or over much of any-
thing else); cities and towns do. I don't think the sign height is due to
regulations, because the old sign was much higher. If Digital did have to set
the sign lower due to new town regulations, the town should reconsider these
regs.

re .1 Dave said he'd only do that if Bob would do a national spot.
          with him.

     .. forget I said that.. It's friday, and I think it's funny
to say " To get to our corporate office you need to take a turn
    at Wendy's " :-)

| | Yep, especially since MSO2 missed being outside of Maynard by "that
much," as Don Martin would have said. I, for one, think it's cool that
we can still say we're based in Maynard. What I'm implying is that if
there ARE zoning regs that need bending, then I'd hope that our long
(though slightly bespeckled) history in Maynard Massachusetts USA would
give us a bit of leverage. Not to mention the property taxes we must
    still, though MLOlessly, be paying...

Anhyoo, as I said in .1, the Wendy's sign is hard to miss, so unless
the zoning regs allow fastfood resto signs to be higher/more garish
than Fortune N companies', we should have some vertical leeway there as
    well.

| | There are no Town of Maynard sign by-laws that would have applied
to the Digital Corporate Sign on Powder Mill Road. As a matter of
fact, there are no Town of Maynard business/commercial sign by-laws
    at all......
