What does Digital recommend for maintenance/backup procedures for
AlphaServers running Digital UNIX (scheduled maintenance, shutdowns,
fsck cycles etc.)? Customer is a telco, and application is a revenue
producing system -- minimal disruption is the goal?

Do our internal IS folks (running SAP R/3 on UNIX?) have a view? Does
    UNIX Software have a view/recommendation?

    Any help appreciated.

| The product is called POLYCENTER Networker Save and Restore 3.2 for
Digital UNIX. I believe we've announced this for Windows NT Alpha
    4.2a.
This along with the POLYCENTER Advance File System and its utilities
allows backups 24x365 e.g., you don't have to take the structures
    off-line.
