I am looking for some information from folks in EUROPE and AP as to how
you go about procuring equipment for INTERNAL COST CENTER use.
Among the things I am interested in comparing to the US is how you
obtain;
1. Computer Capital Equipment
a. PC's
b. SBU (ALPHAs)
c. other BU Products (Printers, etc...)
2. Computer Expensed Equipment
3. Computer Accessories & Supplies
4. Software
5. Documentation
6. Literature
> Where do you send your orders? (internal or external)
> How do you get Pricing Info?
> How do you get Product Availability information?
> Is Product Configuration Information available (You need to order
a monitor separately, etc...)
> Is Technical Consulting available? (which product should I get?)
> Can you get Product Information/Specs (technical info)
> Can you RETURN a product if you ordered it incorrectly?

I am trying to compile a Worldwide snapshot of Business Policies,
Practices, and Procdures relating to the procurement of INTERNAL
Cost Center needs.
If you may not know some of the answers but can refer me to folks who
may that too would be appreciated.

Also, to your knowledge does your organization provide any forecast of
products they plan on purchasing for a given Qtr/Year to any central
source or BU?
