4541.0. "Zinc Software, Orem, Utah" by AKOCOA::NELSON () Thu Apr 11 1996 17:39

I got a phone call today from a Robert Bishop, president of Zinc
Software in Orem/Pleasant Grove, Utah. Zinc does cross-platform
C++ stuff, GYI interfaces, etc. According to Bishop, Zinc has had a
"relationship" with Digital. They were loaned some software and
hardware, and at the end of the loan period, they bought the hardware.
Someone promised to keep them "current." He said he can't remember who
he dealt with, but that normally, it would be "a UNIX product Marketing
    Manager."

I have made a couple of phone calls (including one to Zinc to verify the
phone call that was made to me!), but I wondered if anyone in this file
can give Mr. Bishop a hand. On the one hand, I find it a little odd
that he'd "forget" (his words, not mine), the name of the person he
dealth with in the past; on the other hand, I hope this is a "live"
lead so that we can sell some goods and services!

Mr. Bishop's phone number is 801-785-8900. E-mail: [email protected]

Thanks for any help you can give.

SDE products. It cold have ben Chuck or one of his Product
Managers. I'll forward this to him, but you might want to follow-up
    as well.

Have Robert call 800-332-4786. Zinc is a member of Digital's
Association of Software & Application Partners, and qualifies for
discounts, etc. and the ASAP SDK.

Mark has the right approach.

Zinc was handled by the old ISV program and his contact was Ann Cate
who worked in Palo Alto but is now gone. The best way to get them back
in sync is through ASAP.
