4515.0. "Need help with LCD panel!" by MKOTS4::NESTOR () Fri Mar 29 1996 17:27

This is going to sound ridiculous but is there someone located at
MKO that wouldn't mind helping me setup an LCD panel so that it
displays information from a PC monitor? I have to do a presentation
Wedneday, April 3rd and would like to be able to use the panel as its
an effective tool but I can't figure out how to hook it up.

Thanks very much in advance for any assistance offered.

I'm sure that the panel has directions?...;^)

THere is a cable that has one PC monitor connection on one end, that
one plugs into the system box where the monitor used to go.
The other end of the cable has two ends, hook one into the LCD panel,
and the other into the Monitor..... power is power, and
    you should be all set.

The front panel if the lcd panel may have various buttons to select
an input source.....this works similar to a VCR. It is my experience
that if you do not hook up the pc monitor, the LCD panel will not
    project.

    good luck,

p.s. if you want to travel down to Acton any day next week after
5:00 (I'm in training all week in TAY) I'd be glad to walk you through
it as I have one in my office.

Just a note of caution....I discovered that using a HiNote with high
resolution graphics turned on (256 colors) causes my brand new TFT LCD
panel to not work. I had to drop back to SVGA (16 colors) to get it to
display...couldn't handle all those colors I guess (sigh).
