| I'm sure with Q3 not meeting management financial goals and Q4 looking
weak also, all organizations will be downsized. Also, remember wall
street loves downsizing. That should prop up the stock a couple of
needed points.

| I was wondering what's happening in SI WW...
I heard about "downsizing" in Australia and Canada. Any news in other
locations?
Cheers,

The cuts are hitting here in the Southeast region of SI as I've
gotten the tap. I don't know any numbers or package details yet.
12 years at Digital, started with them when I was 19. Have survived
plant closings, my group being eliminated, and relocation from
New England to Atlanta, but this time I was on the "home alone"
program and as a previous noter said it was all pretty quiet anyways
so I didn't see it coming and only had about a weeks notice.
I don't know how much sense it makes from DEC's point of view since
they are committed to 1500 Microsoft resources and have shelled out
10k to get me half certified towards MCSE, and would have gotten
reimbursed 24k from Microsoft when I finish in another month or two.

| Can anyone shed any light. Are regions outside the southeast doing well
with System Integration Business ? Has anyone seen large quantities of
Windows-NT SI Business yet ?

| I'm still looking for the day where there will be one office
in Dallas with the Digital Logo on it. That will be it, one
office. There may be a few other "digital" employees/vagabonds
running around the world performing various tasks at 100 hours
per week with no life no family. They will live for mother
Digital and that is it. The rest of the corp. will be either
outsourced or filled with contractors. Life in the 90's.
Sorry, bad day. Who knows what the future will hold but I haven't
seen anything concrete to convince me otherwise.
