4488.0. "End Of Life Information" by MSDOA::BOYDT () Mon Mar 18 1996 13:59

    How is End Of Life determined and do we provide our Customers with
    a guaranteed notification?  I have a Customer with a 11785, RA81s, and
    TA78s who is running a special application that they can not upgrade in
    the near future. They are requesting reassurance.

    Thanks,

    By "near future" I assume you mean less than 2 years. That's probably
    a safe bet. More than 5 years? I'd guesstimate that the port to
    another platform would cost less than supporting all that gear for 5
    years.

4488.3Try ATLAS.....MSDOA::SCRIVENMon Mar 18 1996 16:117
    You can get EOSL (End of Service Life) information out of ATLAS in VTX;
    however, that doesn't tell you too much around future EOSL Products;
    but hey, it's a place to start. There may be a phone # in there
    somewhere that would be useful.....

Tom,

Since you listed HW models, I am assuming that you are looking at some
reassurance of HW maintenance? If that is incorrect and your interest is in
the SW side, please contact me at STOWOA::ODIAZ.
