4477.0. "Congrats To the New Couple" by GRANPA::BDOYLE () Mon Mar 11 1996 20:49

    Congratulations to HP. With Microsoft, HP announced a new line of
    co-designed PCs for the growing small business market. The market is
    defined as companies with less than 500 personal computers. One of the
    benefits that HP will offer is the ability to remotely manage the
    customers's PCs. This will save the customers the added cost of
    internal support staff. The systems will be marketed in April.

    HP is still the Wall Street "dahling" these days. Microsoft is
    promoting Microsoft. We announced earlier that we are not in the PeeCee
    home business market. That might have been taken wrongly by some
    people. Business goes on.

    Sigh.

    Hello,

    Digital already has this ability today. To bad we don't market it
    well.  It's really a shame!!

4477.3Home PCs for business?FBEDEV::GLASERTue Mar 12 1996 08:429
    Last week I read an rticle in either business week or fortune about
    business that are buying "Home PCs" for business use. According to the
    article, large retailers of PCs want to renegotiate their contracts
    with the PC suppliers so that they can sell to larger business
    organizations.

    Has anyone noticed this activity out in the field?
