4435.0. "Recommends for Royalty Tracking System" by POWDML::DWOOD () Wed Feb 21 1996 11:32

    Our internal Finance world is in the process of looking for solutions
    to our outdated and inflexible Royalty Tracking Adminstration System.
    This transactional system administers the software royalties we owe
    for software, either sold separately, or imbedded in our hardware.
    We are looking at various alternatives, one of which is to put the work
    out to bid. We've gone thru an interation of bids from Consulting
    firms, to no avail due to a number of issues (Cap Gemini, Andersen).
    Shortly, we may start the bid proposal process once more. Can anyone
    out there recommend a firm that has experience or a reputation in this
    area? Do you have customers that have had this functionality developed?

    Regards,
    Diane

    ..er.. maybe I'm missing something...

    don't we have (supposedly) a world class SI outfit, who do this kind of
    stuff, for customers ? try there first ?

    And, if you need a looksee at how other businesses 'do' royalties, then
    find a rep of ours who has a customer in, say, the publishing/music
    space, and see what they can facilitate for you.
