4430.0. "Location of CURRENT donation policy, if any?" by SALEM::GWCOOP::GWCOOP (DSM @NIO, Salem N.H.) Fri Feb 16 1996 14:04

Does anyone know the or have a pointer too the CURRNET corporate
position/policy regarding hardware donations (new or used) to
established non-profit orgs?. The notes and replies I have read in
this conferance are some two or more years old. Not in keeping with
all the changes in the company.

    	Thank you

    	George Cooper

There are no "policies" in this area that I am aware of. Digital does have
a "Corporate Community Relations" department to which you can make inquiries.

Corporate Community Relations will be happy to send you a brochure with the
guidelines they use for determining donations.

VTX POLICY has entries under Corporate/Charitable Contributions

Is "Corporate Community Relations" associated with the Corporate
Contributions Office/Group/Committee? (These seem to be three
seperate entities, according to the info in VTX POLICY)

Does the brochure mentioned a few replies back cover donations of used
equipment to charitable organizations, or only donations of money, new equip-
ment, software, or service? Used equipment presents specific issues that would
not be issues for the other forms of donations.
If donations of used equipment are covered in VTX POLICY, would someone
please post a pointer? I too would like to know what the current policy is,
and I'm too busy to track it down.

Sorry, I don't know about used equipment on the brochure. I don't have it any
longer.
