I am working on a product that I would like to promote with field sales,
direct & indirect. I am looking for the following information:
Dedicated Account Managers for the top 1000 companies that
Digital Deals with, i.e. the ABU accounts and their sales contacts.
(worldwide, i.e. Americas, Europe & APA)
(**I've already looked at VTX - thanks)
Also distributors, VARs and other indirect channels.
Also is there an eay way to identify the responsible sales contact
(or distributor or VAR or etc) given the customer name?

You can find most of that information on the internal dec home pages,
many of the ABU Regions and SBU Regions have that information sometimes
with pictures of the person. There is also a business partners home
page with all the reseller/distribution channel contacts.

Most of the regional V.P.'s have list of every account manager on the
SBU Channels side and the ABU Direct Account side. I'm sure someone in
either Harry Copperman's office or Sri's office can help you here with
a global account/manager list.
Additionally, a number of regions are putting up home pages. For
example, the Central Region SBU home page is at
http://crosm.sca.dec.com and the America's SBU home page is at
http://sbu.mro.dec.com/americas. There you can see the various
organizations by geography and function.
