Does anyone out there have the templates from the 1988 Software Engineering 
Manual (SEM) in machine readable format? I'd hate to resort
to OCR .. 

If you have copies of old SDML templates, that would do. If you have
templates in Word, the better. PS copy of the old SEM might do too.

If that fails .. If you know of a person who might know, who still
works for DEC, a notesfile that has not been deleted or a DECnet node with 
files that has not gone off the net, please let me know.

    I've replied by mail, but KOOLIT::DOCUMENT notes 96.2-.4 contain .SDML
    templates for the product requirements, component product spec, and
    development plan.
