Is there any way to order Digital PC's (for home use) in France? Europe? If so, how? Thanks, Ken

Bonjour, the French PC BU propose a specific campaign for DECies. If you can read French I can forward the proposal for France. Regards, Olivier.

and like the rest of the internal purchase proposals,it does not stand up against any external purchase.Plus, the Christmas offer was issued on December 22nd-just right for the kids and the holidays..... Yes you get 35% off list on four configs but compare it to Packard Bell from Carrefour for example and you will get the idea. And,contrary to popular belief,a 486/100 is well over the top for w95 and as fast as most Pentium 75 models, unlike the advice we got from the PCBU(no we did not come down with the last shower..) All in all,the fact that we cannot obtain our own technologies at unquestionably decent prices is firstly,a disgrace and secondly, crass stupidity on the part of the PCBU.

I'm not asking for any special discount or anything, I just want to purchase a Digital PC (of course it has to be somewhat price competitive) for home use. DELL gave me a quote in 30 minutes (found the number in PC MAGAZINE). GATEWAY and COMPAQ also seem to have easy mail order access. Any help would be appreciated.

You could buy a Venturis or Celebris model from a reseller, but you'd probably be better off with the other vendors as Digital doesn't compete in that market outside the US. Steve |
