| Try calling Chuck Packard @GNO, I know he uses one along with all the
other engineers here in the Greenville Office. You can have him paged
by calling DTN: 367-5027 and leave a message.
Hope this helps.....

| There is also a commercial package called Quick Expense. You can buy
the package and download the Digital form (already created) from the
developers BBS 800 number. There is a trial version available as well
from the BBS.

| Sorry got cut off there.
Dial 1-800-358-2193 for the BBS. Choose the SUPPORT directory and
download QXTRIAL.EXE. Then do a search under ALL FILES for Digital.
Digital Equipment's form will pop up or just download DIGTL.EXE. It's
better than just the Excel file supplied by corporate.

The Excel file supplied by Corporate? I thought that was done
by someone in their spare time. What makes you think Corporate
would do anything to address this problem?
RE: .6
Yea, me too. I applaude someone trying, but the user interface
needs ALOT of work. It's very non-intuitive.

| I have not tried the PC version of the EXPENSE program. I do use the
VMS version. I don't travel much, so I don't have to do a whole lot of
data entry. The user interface is All-For-Nothing-like, which I don't
like, but it is consistent.

| If I still have to submit my paper receipts, what is the point
of electronic expense filing? I get my refunds in a timely fashion.

| well, for me the point is it is easier to do, keeps an electronic
record of all my reports, and does the arithmetic for me.
Plus, the secretary can read them. (my penmanship is not the worlds
greatest).

| I am talking about the VMS program voucher. It has "Conversion Rate"
on the 1st screen but how do I enter 1GBP == 1.63 USD in it? When I
try to enter 1.63 it will not let me enter the decimal point, says
Numeric Required!

I'm looking for something similar, preferably Excel based and being
a European I would need to input exchange rates.
I am not looking for something complicated that will print actual
expense form's but simply a tracking spreadsheet.
Date Reason Local amount French Amount
TOTALS TOTALS
I am sure that this is easy to do but not knowing Excel (developing
a spreadsheet rather than using one) I ask here if anyone already
has something,

Send me an external mail address and I'll send you a floppy with a .xls
