I am posting this note here, as well as in the SES I-EXCHANGE notes 
conference, in order to reach people outside of SES who may be 
interested in the corporation's guidelines for the covers of technical 
documentation.

This week Digital's Brand InfoCenter went live on the internal 
Internet.

Go to:  http://www.imc.das.dec.com/brand/

and you will find specs for tech doc covers, presentations, and 
exhibits. More guidelines will be added as they become available.


DOWNLOADABLE TEMPLATE FOR 7 X 9 COVERS

You can download Adobe Illustrator templates for

                7x9 front cover
                7x9 back cover
                7x9 spine

(Digital's print suppliers prefer receiving cover art in three files.)


DOWNLOADABLE SPECS

You can download and print specs for all the cover sizes and
orientations supported by Digital Standard 073-0: 8.5 x ll, A4, et al.


REQUEST FOR COLLABORATION

Are there other templates or specs that you need?

Do you know of other templates? I hear that there is a template
for a CD booklet cover in work in SES.  We can add this and
other templates to the BrandInfo Center.


VENDORS ACCESS TO THE BRANDINFO CENTER

Vendors who have SEETRA accounts will be able to view the BrandInfo
Center by using a password.  I will find out how this is set up and I
will get in touch with the SES strategic vendors.
