I had a customer calling looking for the installation instructions
that should have been included with their VMS 6.2 update. They need
to load the software on a VAX 785 and 780 and the do not have any
instructions as to how they do this.
I told them to contact DECDirect in the event they may be able to
shed some light......Anyone know a faster wy this customer can get
a copy of the installation instructions?
If so and you are willing to help, the customer is Benedit College.
The contact is Julian at 803-253-5326.
Any information would be appreciated.

Don't know the exact letters that should arrive with the Customer
Update CD but my Consolidated OpenVMS Distribution for Sept 95 includes
a document Part Number AA-QDGSD-XE Software Product Library CD-ROM
User's Guide, that tells you how to print the installation documents
off the CD.
There wasn't anything really different to the process for
installing/upgrading to OpenVMS V6.2 vs the earlier versions of
OpenVMS.
Sounds like a consulting opportunity -= try contacting Debbie Elgot

This would be a good question to ask in VAXAXP::VMSNOTES - or just
check note 11 (I think) which gives pointers to documentation. You
should be able to find a copy you can print for the customer.
