4149.0. "HiNote Ultra rated Best Ultraportable - Byte" by DECWET::BERKUN (A False Sense of Well-Being) Wed Sep 27 1995 13:20

The Digital HiNote Ultra received "Best High-End Ultraportable" rating
in Byte Magazine, October '95, page 146. We were up against 10 other
machines. We aced every category: Overall Score, features, ease of
use, screen quality and were second only in battery life.

No downside, except that our older pricing was used, so we appear a bit
    more expensive.

This is fabulous and we should take this news to customers and
    prospects!

Congratulations to the HiNote team and to whoever did the work with
Byte to make sure this happened.

Great! Yes, Congratulations to the HiNote team. I hope, they runs a good
ad-campaign, highlight the good review, and strike while the iron is hot.
I hope they can cope up with the demand and not come across some
    manufacturing snags.

The important thing is to capitalise on the good news NOW, while it is
    still out there.

It would be nice, wouldn't it, but then this is Digital we're referring
    to.

Byte's nod is nice, but it would be better if we could get more
mainstream magazines such as PC Magazine and PC Computing to bestow
such honors. They like the HiNote, but give the nod to the IBM 701C.

I suspect that keeping up with demand should not be a problem.

During the last fortnight, the UK maganize PC User had a re-review of
the Hinote. They did a review about 4 months ago, and it got a GOLD
award. They have now re-reviewed it in their "second look" series. They
said that despite it being 4 months ago, they still give it a gold
award, 'cos nothing has appeared to touch it....
