| FUD = Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. So when a competitor is saying
things like "You certainly don't expect Digital to deliver "X" on
time to you?" or "Digital hasn't proven that you need 64-bit computing
yet." ,etc. This is FUD.

| The FUD I am familiar with is Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt, often used
by salespersons to dissuade the customer from trying a product or
technology they do not have experience with. For example, you're a big
blue salesperson in the 70's, and the customer is considering putting
Control Data disk drives on your IBM system. You use FUD to keep the
system in the family.

earlier, a company with the R/3 products. Or Service Access Point,
in reference to a communications architecture. Usually has a prefix
in front of it like NSAP for Network Service Access Point.

| OK, I've done a bit of research into this, as I've spent all day
waiting on compiles, kermiting files, etc. OFWAMI is *not* a
universally accepted acronym. I've search most all the acronym servers
on the Web and found zippo.
So, this means it's a "Personal Acronym" and, in a small circle of
folk, has met the test of "accepted usage". It TLAs, therefore it is.
Were I to be leading a better life, I'm sure some fair nymph would whisper
it in my ear. :^]
Meanwhile, I'm a'headin' for the skeet range and takin' my frustrations
out on LCPs (Little Clay Pigeons).
