    Some of you may have known Randy Heap, from when he
    worked in WSE before it was TFSOed.

    For those of you who don't know me, I'll start with a brief
    introduction.  My name is Charles Marker and I was Randy Heap's
    manager at Silicon Graphics.  As many of you know, Randy suffered a
    fatal heart attack last Thursday.  I was always impressed with the
    depth of Randy's intellect and enjoyed our conversations on many
    topics.  I will miss him and his insight.
    
    I have been in contact with Randy's wife Celeste and have some
    information which I would like to pass along to you.  The family has
    decided to not have any public funeral or memorial services.  Those of
    you who knew Randy also know that he generally chose not to attend
    public events and the family would like to respect that.  For those of
    you who would like to do something in Randy's memory, the family has
    asked that you make donations to the Nature Conservancy.  Here is the

    For those of you who are unfamilier with this group, basically they
    purchase property and place it in trust in order to preserve our
    natural surrondings.  Given Randy's love of bird watching (something
    that I just learned a few months ago), I believe that this is a very
