| Is this the same as CNBC? I think that is where I watch Larry King
live. Does anyone have a time EST?
I'd like to tape this.

since last week.

| I just caught a bit of it -- and he was very complimentary to us.
Larry asked him whether when one went to the store to buy one's copy of
Win95, whether one might "get a lemon." "No," replied Mr. Gates.
"That's the beauty of Digital products. Every copy is the same."
I might have been mistaken on the capitalization, however.

At least CNN Europe has it this afternoon (1500 CET if I remember
correctly).
I did [try to] tape the original, but forgot to check the tape this
morning (it was 3:00 AM CET).

He was asked by one caller if he had any plans to move any of his
software development to countries where he could get programmers for
less than what he pays here.
Although he encourgage development everyone, his response was "No". He
plans to keep everything right here, although he says his company does
hire smart people from all over the place.
He was also very reluctant to discuss his wife, when Larry asked if she
enjoyed computers and was involved in the computer/software space.
Course, she does work for MicroSoft. :>)

The funny thing was that I think Larry King realized this and kept pressing

IF HE HAD SAID DIGITAL HE WOULD HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT HIS "WINDOWS95"
BUT MAYBE WE CAN BORROW HIS QUOTE???
I LIKED HIS IDEA OF THE CAR YEAR REGARDING PRODUCTS. (EXP. ALPHA95)
I GUESS WE WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE BARBARA WALTERS SPECAIL TO FIND
OUT ABOUT HIS WIFE.

| At one point in the interview when Bill is answering Larry's question
"do you take your work home with you", Bill says yes, I take my
compact|compaq portable and dial in to work. I didn't catch whether
there was a 't' in the pronunciation of that adjective, but I sure hope
there was, considering BP just gave Bill a Hinote Ultra that he should
be using! :-)

| I liked how he gushed about data sharing, and empowerment, blah, blah,
blah, some old lady asked him when he was going to make software for
lay-people. Also, his comment that you needed to be a technologist
to run a tecnology company was a nice shot at IBM (Gerstner)...

Not to mention Apple, with the Pepsi man.

No doubt! Fortunately, I didn't have to buy them and when I got them
they were at $42.
