4034.0. "Need someone to present to ANS" by XEDON::CACCIAPOUTI (impatience is a virtue) Wed Aug 09 1995 14:55
I apologize for posting this here if it is not appropriate. I did spend
some time searching through VTX for someone who might be appropriate
for this, but I'm not really even sure what I am looking for.
I received the appended message from my father. He is looking for someone
to make a presentation to a division of the American Nuclear Society.
My understanding is that they have a need for a lot of computing
power and they want to determine who might best deliver that to them
in the future.
Other people to be invited are:
Dr. John Gage - Sun Microsystems
Dr. Ed McCracken - Silicon Graphics
Dr. Rick Lawrence - Parallel Applications
Ed Masi - Intel
They are looking to get someone of similar stature from Digital, and are
hoping to get four speakers. If anyone can help, please contact my father
(Richard) directly at the address below.
Thanx,
- Mark

The Radiation Protection & Shielding Division of the American
Nuclear Society will be holding its 1996 Topical Meeting at
the Sea Crest Resort on Cape Cod in Falmouth, Massachusetts,
April 21 - 26, 1996. The meeting is expected to attract more
than 200 professionals in the radiation protection and
shielding area from the US, Europe and Asia. The
professionals in this area are heavy computer users utilizing
a variety of equipment from PC's to super computers.
We are planning to hold a Plenary Session the morning of
April 22. The intent of the Plenary Session is to discuss
current activities in the computer area (both software and
hardware) and a glimpse into the crystal ball for future
activities.
The Organizing Committee requests that a member of Digital
make a presentation at this Plenary Session.

| There is also a catalog available through VTX LOS EN-N5362-05
which has has the title Digital Speakers Bureau.
one of the goals of the bureau is to make it easier for sales to
locate the appropriate speakers.
I have a copy of the catalog which I don't really need, and would
be willing to mail it out to someone who will use it.
any takers? send Email MKOTS3::isbell
