Is god an Anagram of Alpha ...??
(Add a few letters, take a few out, Then Juggle them about)
Hey presto.... god..!!

| I tried your anagram rule .... working backwards, I used the word "god"
added some letters, took a few out and what I got was "Pentium". I
then reversed the process (for scientific reasons) and got
"flabberstundthing" so I am not too sure of the rule, perhaps it needs
some work.

| Maybe, maybe not...
But he raises some interesting points re the open standards. IMO, its a
bit simplistic and leaves us open to be walked over. But there are some
nice points.

| Apparently his manic fugue ended, and he read what he had written.
Tom. if you're out there, and you were serious about the three lithium
pills each morning -- check with your doctor. Based on your behavior
the past few days, I think you may need an adjustment in the dosage of
your medication.

3916.55 | a quick note on manic depresion | DPDMAI::EYSTER | Livin' on refried dreams... | Tue Jun 06 1995 11:04 | 33 |
| Tom is absolutely serious about the lithium. Manic depressive
behaviour, like diabetes, is controlled as long as the level is
maintained properly. As a diabetic will go into insulin shock if their
level fluctuates outside the normal range, so will a manic depressive
have an episode. It's nothing to do with sanity, it's a medical
condition. Unfortunately, it's not well understood by the general
populace and the victim is oft treated as being "daft", when they're
not.
An acquaintance of mine will start spending during her episodes,
running all of the charge cards to their limits in a brief period.
Otherwise, she's a perfect wife, mother, employee, and friend.
A friend becomes very animated, sociable, and generous, unlike his
usual quiet, somewhat shy personality.
My sister-in-law will change the children's school, her work,
everything in the house, and take up sudden new passions like playing
the clarinet, bow hunting, and landscaping.
A real problem manic depressives have is voluntarily going off their
Lithium periodically, which will result in episodes. Why this happens
is not, I believe, well understood, and I don't mean to suggest Mr.
Newton has done so.
I'd like to ask that we all try to understand this, have some
compassion, and check the urge to enter cutting remarks. Save 'em for
the wags who really deserve 'em. :^]
Best of, Tom. This notesfile *does* become more interesting at these
times!

disease, and I was making my statement out of concern -- nothing more.
