Half-page ad in the Business Section of the Boston Globe today
announcing Digital PCs at Lechmere (Boston-area discount dept. store).
They have Starion 75mhz w/mm for $2200 with some pretty good CD
software...plus pentium 100s.
This is the first advertising for Digital PCs I've seen _anywhere_.
Looks good.

CompUSA has regularly advertised the Starion in its ad inserts. Starion is not available through the Employee Purchase Program. Employees can get discounts at CompUSA - what that discount is varies by product. The Lechmere configurations (500i and 900i) and prices are competitive (even a bit better) with similar systems from Micron, Dell and Compaq. Steve | |||||

Oh, and Digital has "done Lechmere" for a long time - they were the first to carry our printers and they also carry our FullVideo line of MPEG decoders. Steve | |||||

Sam's (on Rte 9 slightly West of BJ's towards worcester) has the 600i
for about $2200 (90mhz); 75mhz (200i, I believe), was under $1800.
Both come with a free software package add-on (Encarta, Bookshelf,
Golf, etc), plus lotus and a bunch of other stuff.
