3881.1 | Digital Business Agreement | MROA::ODELL | | Wed May 17 1995 13:10 | 13 |
| I believe DBA stands for Digial Business Agreement. These agreements
are commonly used in lieu of a standard field test agreement. I believe
the information can be found by accessing VTX DIET, though I'm not
totally sure.
If that doesn't work, you might want to contact a Field Test person
in your area. If you don't have or know of a FT person, I suggest
you contact Rob Barwise at LKG (DELNI::BARWISE). I know he has
experience with DBA's.

| gee, I thought that a DBA # is what's necessary for a customer to buy
something, although I'm sure they have to sign an agreement outlining
our T's and C's to get it. I believe that U.S. Sales can help you,
try Cheryl Morin DTN 297-2601.

| re: .0
Either there are multiple meanings of 'DBA' within Digital or someone is
confused. As .1 said, DBA stands for "Digital Business Agreement". It is an
agreement between Digital and a business partner. As such, Digital doesn't
have a DBA with itself.

3881.4 | "Doing Business As" redtape form? | WRKSYS::RICHARDSON | | Wed May 17 1995 13:40 | 9 |
| Gee, my first thought was "Doing Business As", a $5 piece of redtape we
had to file with the town to "register" our hobby business a few years
ago - every once in a while the town sends us some more redtape, mostly
to find out if the hobby business "owns" anything that the town can
levy taxes on. I have no idea if big corporations have to file these
things, too - nor do I know offhand where the original copy of ours is
if anyone ever needs to know its registration number.

3881.5 | Digital Business Agreement | POBOX::SETLOCK | | Wed May 17 1995 14:12 | 13 |
| A DBA is a Digital Business Agreement. Digital has DBA's with our
Customers. The DBA contains terms and conditions and provides a
discount level dependent upon the $$$ volume the Customer spends with
us. The DBA is numbered and the number is associated with a particular
Customer. Digital does not have a DBA with Digital, so there is no
Digital DBA number. DBA's are all kept back East now and Rita Casey,
DTN 297-2605 is one of the contacts.
Is it possible you're looking for a Federal ID number???
Hope this helps.

| Then there's the BOA, which is an agreement between Digital and a
particular Vendor. If we had more info about what you need it for, we
might be more helpful...

3881.8 | Dunn and Bradstreet | MR2MI1::BMORRISON | | Thu May 18 1995 10:43 | 9 |
| OK everyone, here is another thought.
Dunn and Bradstreet is sometimes known as D&B. Many companies
require a D&B in order to get credit information. Most corporations
have a D&B number. It can be found in the DEC (sorry Digital)
Library or any other library in the country.
Sorry, I don't know the number off the top of my head.
