S&P UPGRADES DIGITAL EQUIPMENT OUTLOOK Maynard, Mass.-April 28-FWN1/4UPI--STANDARD & POOR'S credit-rating service upgraded today its outlook on Digital Equipment Corp. to positive from negative and affirmed ratings on $1.5 billion of Digital's debt. S&P said the revision reflects Digital's continuing progress in executing its restructuring plan and the expectation Digital can maintain recent performance trends. Digital stock was off 12.5 cents to $46 a share on the New York Stock Exchange today. databases run faster than any other computer, with fourth-quarter sales topping $100 million. S&P affirmed today its ratings on Digital's senior debt at double-B-minus and preferred stock at single-B. End of Report
