Mods: If this is misplaced, use the electronic powers you've been granted to move/delete this note I was recently contacted by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative regarding a samll MA start-up that is developing an unique (potentially) high resolution flat panel display technology that may be well suited for applications such as monitors or medical imaging. I've made some initial contacts within the desktop monitor arena within Digital, but do not have an ``ins'' into the medical imaging group we (used to?) have. Can anyone help by providing an internal contact for medical imaging? Regards, Ron Pacheco 223-0651

The person who used to head up the "telemedicene group" was Dick Loveland who reported to Mahendra Patel. Maybe they can help you.

re: .0 I hope you find someone who's interested. Maybe 18 months ago, people from our area tried to get one of the long gone medical groups to entertain the notion of lending a little support to a some potentially profitable 3D medical imaging technology (with little side-effect technologies like 3D TV, a true 3D Virtual Reality input stream, etc.). The response, basically, was that they were interested in medical RECORDS imaging, not _real_ medical imaging. Hopefully, someone somewhere in Digital has developed an interest in _real_ medical imaging (e.g., 3D topographic mapping), but I'll be pleasantly surprised if you find them. -- Russ

Here's a pointer. Send mail to MROA::PAGE Bill used to be heavily involved in imaging products. He may lead you to the pot of gold. |
