hi I got a request for assistance from Saul Adelman, who is a professor of astronomy (physics?) at The Citadel. He is looking for assistance in purchasing computer equipment for a telescope consortium he is working with in Argentina. Does anyone know who I should forward his request to? The following are extracts from a couple notes he sent me describing what he is doing. "I have gotten involved in a consortium to put a 1-m Automated Imaging Telescope in Argentina. If you are still working for DEC, do you know if there is an office which handles requests for assistance. Our group will either get an Alpha to do the reductions from a 2056 x 2056 CCD or a SUN10. The choice will impact several other sales." "For our telescope consortium, we are looking for better than usual computer prices as well as research grants. If all goes well, our group should have a nice story to tell." Thanks Matt

Re: <<< Note 3804.1 by TALLIS::KIRK "Matt" >>> If you are looking for a contact in the Latinamerican/Caribean Territory, Luis Zuniga @LAC (Florida) is I believe the SBU Manager and Luis Gutierrez @LAC is Sales/marketing. We don't have a subsidiary in Argentina, but a distributor, the Digital phone book should have it's name/address. /OLD

There is a Corporate Research Program, and it should be worthwhile contacting them. I work with the European Office, and have no direct contact with the US CRP office. However, looking at the Corporate Research: Quarterly Reports page on the internet, gave me the following address, which you may like to try: [email protected] With a quick look at ELF (yes, it works!), I came up with the following to match the above address: Kenneth King Corp Research & Arch. DTN: 226-2680 Mail Address: LJO2/E4 Hope this helps. Shalom Baruch (who has time, because I am on holiday :-) )

I think you want Digital's -External- Research Program; try Ira Machefsky at DECPA::IRA. |
