    Earlier today I called 1-800-SOFTWAR:

    be in until 5.  If you are calling about [blah-blah-blah], press 0 and
    ask for [so-and-so-2, extension abcd] or [so-and-so-3, extension efgh],
    or leave a message . . ."

    "Operator, how may I direct your call?"
    
    "May I speak to so-and-so-2, please?"
    
    "click . . .  Hello, this is [so-and-so-2].  I'm not in . . .  If you
    are calling for pricing information, press 0 and ask for [so-and-so-1,
    extension ijkl] or [so-and-so-3] . . ."

    That's funny.  I priced some stuff off VTX, even got the part number
    and then called 800-software and lo and behold, they came up with
    the same price and part number, so I gave them my visa # and 2 days
    later it came via federal express...
    
    and that's not the end of it... my boss even reimbursed me.  Holy
    Cow.
