Yesterday, our customer presented me with a returned prepaid Digital mailer. He had a number of them! Anyway, this is standard business reply mail paid via first class permit number 33 Maynard Mass. The subject of the card is "USER FEEDBACK - Alpha configuration utility". I called the 800 number listed on the card to notify them that the card was returned stamped "PERMIT NOT RENEWED RETURN TO SENDER". The person at the 800 number wanted the content of the reply but did care that the card was returned to the sender! Can someone pass this information along to correct person/group. Thanks /ed

The Product Manager has been notified about the problem. The Next release of the Configuration Utility (mid March) will have a valid permit number for mailing the feedback card. Carl Lanteigne

Thanks for forwarding this onto the correct person. I was contacted this AM and it appears that the permit is OK but there is no forwarding address on file at the PO for BXB1... /ed

Our building had a fire some time ago. A fast-thinker in mgt had the telephone message changed so the caller heard "The number you are dialing has been temporarily changed to (another site code)" instead of "...is no longer a working number", scaring our customers *and* employees half to death. Unfortunately, the number listed was off by a digit, and gave the message "...is no longer a working number". I personally called the phone company and had it changed to the correct number. No one ever check these things, or what? |
