Here's another "Who/Where/Why" kinda question, I have a customer with a whole bunch of Venturis (Ventuurii?) 486DX2 PC's with DE205 Ethernet cards (or DE200's) that cannot speak on the Ethernet, apparently due to a conflict with the "Plug-n-Play" bios. A reasonable search yields nothing yet, so I thought I'd start here. A call has been logged with the results of "download VEN102S.EXE from our BBS", (Right, *I* can't find it...), Thanks in advance... .mike.

This is getting ridiculous. Doesn't anyone bother to LOOK for appropriate notes conferences anymore? GIADEV::DECSTATION is the Digital PC Support notesfile. Steve | |||||

Not so ridiculous, when taken into account the fact I have lots of other stuff to do that precludes lots of Note searches, and that fact that I have been forbidden from using my phone card from home to do it after hours (gotta keep those costs down you know), and add to that fact the one I heard yesterday, that IBM_PC was the appropriate conference, and on top of that, that VE102S.EXE (not VEN102S.EXE, as I was originally told) is the correct file name that fixed the problem. So instead of complaining, be proactive and start a new note titled "Where do I find who or what". .mike. |
