3624.5 | UK Utility space very active... | RDGENG::WILLIAMS_A | | Wed Jan 11 1995 05:56 | 16 |
| Just a few years ago, Digital did a *huge* job at National Power, the
largest electricity generator in the UK [The nature of the UK utility
privatizations (note, 'z') means that they tend to be quite large
companies all in all].
In addition, I know we have done work for many of the recently
privatized Water and Electricity distribution companies - Utility
sector has been very active in the UK in the last few years.
Suggest you contact senior UK people in SI and ABU to find out just who
is still around now [Any UK types reading this note who can supply
names of survivors, please do].
Rgds,
AW

| Martyn Cordingley @ BBP is the man in charge at the ABU of the Utilities
Sales section in the UK.
British Gas are going through a big upheaval (switching to Business Units!
- boy could we save them a couple of years hardship and say "do it
differently, no...., hang on...... Yes, keep going, you were right in the
first place!"). Big upheaval's often mean lots of spare cash waiting to be
spent.
