3560.0. "Looking for .GIF of cheetah used in Digital ads" by WRKSYS::REISERT (Jim Reisert, AD1C) Wed Dec 07 1994 16:30

Some of the new Digital ads have a picture of a cheetah running across the
screen. Is this in a .GIF (or other graphics format) file somewhere that
I can copy?

We digitized this for the Cheetah Project (MV3100-90/95 and
VAX4000-100/105A). It was used on our plans. The file is
    at DIODE::DSA0:[PUBLIC]CHEETAH_PIC.PS

Copied over from DIODE ok but cuts off
the cheetah's head. I have not seen the
ad, is this right or do you get the whole
    cat ?

Re: .3

The image is *not* cropped. I finally got it to print out (on an LPS32) using A3
paper. (It would print OK on A4 landscape but I could not get any combination of
qualifiers to do that for me: I'll settle for folding the paper in half and
photocopying onto A4 before I pin it up somewhere in the cube).

In theory, if printing from VMS using DCPS or CPS, you could scale the
    image this way:

    	PRINT/PARAM=(DATA=PS,PAGE_SIZE=A3,SHEET_SIZE=A4,NUM=1) filename

That would scale from A3 onto A4. However, you can't change the
orientation with PAGE_ORIENTATION=LANDSCAPE. That doesn't rotate
    PostScript files.
