Ever since last Thurs., when the Digital stock plan bought its stock and thousands of DECcies quickly sold it, I have been unable to get a stock quote via stock.exe. I more or less expected this to happen for a day or two due to the massive demand for this info, but it now seems that something else is wrong. I also can't access SUBWAY::DIGITAL_INVESTING, so can't ask this quest- ion there. Is there a single node handling stock.exe for the entire company? Since this is an exe file, I can't read it to figure out where it points to. On Thurs. at the height of the rush, one of my coworkers was able to get an up-to-date quote on Digital (and other) stock via WWW. Does anyone know what the URL is for this service?

DIGITAL_INVESTING is on NYOSS1::
If stock.exe is the same as quote_v0.exe you probably need the
new version from DIODE::DSA0:[QUOTE]QUOTE_V0.EXE (note 322).
I have experienced no problems from either the conference or
the quote program during the selling period.

I was trying to access DIGITAL_INVESTING on an out-of-date node, and I appar- ently had an obsolete copy of the stock quote program. I am all set now. | |||||
