Digital assisting independent software developers via Internet

Digital sales, channels and marketing personnel now have access
to information for the broad base of independent software developers
       via the Internet.

Customized tools and services have been specifically designed
to assist software partners in delivering their products on Alpha AXP
       platforms.

Major services consist of the Alpha AXP Applications Catalog and
the Alpha AXP Developer Support Program. Both services use the dynamic
"Mosaic" interface for the World-Wide Web.

The Alpha AXP Applications Catalog contains information about
partners developing and shipping applications on the Alpha AXP platform.
Information includes partner location, contact information, software
product descriptions and Alpha AXP operating systems supported.
Currently the catalog is searchable for vendor, application, and OS,
       along with keywords.

Online forms are available for vendors to become listed in the
catalog as well as make updates and/or corrections. Entries are
       updated weekly.

The catalog is listed on Digital's External Home page:
       URL http://www.digital.com/info.html

Alpha AXP developer support information is provided by Digital's
Developer Support Program to help connect ISVs worldwide with the
information they need to develop and support applications on Alpha AXP
systems. Users of the service are encouraged to join the program and
receive other incremental services such as access to ISV Support
       Centers and on-line technical support.

Applications to sign up for these programs are available on the
Internet. To initiate the process, partners can access the Developer
Support Home Page directly at URL http://www.digital.com/www-swdev/

Partners can also call 1-800-332-4786 and select the "Program
Information" option. Callers will receive details on membership.

In addition, a variety of inquiry services and newsgroups,
public domain software, and business and general product information
       is available.

For more information, contact Joe Maciejowski, DTN 223-1489.

| 3494.7 | Binary translator -- DECmigrate for DEC OSF/1 AXP | TALLIS::FREAN |  | Tue Nov 22 1994 15:26 | 11 |
| | Since you're dealing with migrating from MIPS Ultrix to DEC OSF/1 AXP, you
need to know about the DECmigrate binary translator, also called mx. mx
converts MIPS ULTRIX executables into equivalent executables that can
run on DEC OSF/1 AXP. It's really quick and reliable way to move to
AXP. The translation is so good that Frame is actually selling a translated
version of Framemaker.
DECmigrate is a standard OSF layered product available on the layered
product CONDIST CD-ROM.
