I'm seeing whole topics and note strings deleted...not set hidden. No warning, no reason, no excuse, no moderator note. I've seen this in the past, but thought it had been stopped. In this case, it was a very innocuous string, IMHO, and I have no idea why it would disappear. Is this done by a certain moderator, at his whim? Are all the mods aware of it? Are they in agreement with it?

I'm not aware that this has happened. If you have evidence of it, please send it to the moderators. Our policy is that we notify by mail the author of any note we delete, and give an explanation of why the action was taken. (Sometimes the mail message gets delayed or is undeliverable, but we can't control that.) We also keep a private record of all actions taken. If you have questions about the moderation of this conference, please take it up with us by mail. I've disabled future replies to this topic. Steve |
