    How about this for measuring the companies growth:
    
    Answer = (profit for the year) / (Sum of VP's salaries).
    
    This should encourage the VP's to make good decisions!!!

And if we are making a loss ("profit for the year" < 0), the "Sum of VP's salaries" should be also negative to get a high, positive figure...

	you beat me to it. That should (if implemented) get the VP's attention. So, if DEC makes a loss, the VPs pay DEC to go to work...... Alan
