The Press release is below. I believe that the Digital contacts
mentioned at the end are PR type people. If you wanted detail, I'd
suggest contacting Roseann Giordano's office and asking for directions
to the person responsible for business relations with Meckler.

WESTPORT, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE) via First! -- MecklerWeb and Digital
Equipment Corp. Wednesday jointly announced an agreement that will enable
companies to achieve rapid and effective market positioning on the
Internet.

Through the agreement, Digital becomes the primary provider of technical
tools and services to MecklerWeb customers and will also offer MecklerWeb
membership as part of its Internet services portfolio.

From the earliest phases of the initiative, Digital has been a key player
among MecklerWeb's core technology and business partners. The others are
Alternet, Dun & Bradstreet, Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, Electronic
Data Systems (EDS), Enterprise Integration Technologies, Mecklermedia
Corp., Ogilvy & Mather Direct, and WAIS Inc.

MecklerWeb and Digital have extended their relationship to substantially
assist many businesses currently seeking to create a powerful Internet
presence. From the first step of constructing a "home page" on the World
Wide Web to on-going administration of systems and information content,
Digital will make its full range of technical and consulting expertise
available to MecklerWeb's corporate clients.

This new level of partnering will enable MecklerWeb to offer a far more
comprehensive range of services, including conversion of marketing
materials into the data format required by the World Wide Web. Digital
will also provide a suite of tools and services enabling clients to easily
modify and update their information on the MecklerWeb system.

In addition, Digital will implement and administer the MecklerWeb
computing environment to ensure uninterrupted service as operations expand
in response to widespread corporate interest in the Internet.

"Digital has demonstrated its leadership in the commercial Internet arena
by putting together an impressive strategy and a team capable of delivering
on the kind of demand we are already experiencing," said Christopher Locke,
founder and president of MecklerWeb Corp.

"As a result of this agreement, MecklerWeb is now able to offer one-stop
shopping for corporate Internet presence, with Digital providing services
that companies would otherwise have to supply themselves, or obtain from
third-party providers."

Rose Ann Giordano, vice president of Digital's new Internet Business
Group, sees the agreement as a major step in making Internet marketing an
attractive and appropriate option for major corporations. It strengthens
Digital's commitment to developing new Internet business and underscores
Digital's continuing dedication to customer support in this rapidly
expanding market.

"Worldwide commerce is scrambling for effective ways to leverage the
Internet," said Giordano. "No other vehicle combines the Internet
services, security and support that are now offered by Digital and
MecklerWeb."

In coordination with the new Internet business unit, Digital's worldwide
services organization will offer MecklerWeb as a complement to their
Internet services portfolio. The combination of MecklerWeb Internet
services and Digital's international presence provides the potential for
reaching corporate Internet prospects worldwide.

Among other services, Digital will provide hardware and software for the
MecklerWeb server. Digital's Operations Management Services business unit,
which provides outsourcing services, will be responsible for systems
administration, and will assure continuous operations through its own
highly-secure data centers.

Digital will also provide consulting to MecklerWeb clients as to
information content and will convert the selected materials into a format
that can be presented via the Internet to global markets. By providing
this conversion service, Digital will enhance clients' ease of entry onto
the Internet by eliminating their need to hire or train technical personnel
to perform the transfer.

Digital will also provide user-friendly tools to facilitate content
updates and additions.

Pricing for the MecklerWeb/Digital quick-start package is $50,000 for the
first year, followed by a $25,000 yearly MecklerWeb subscription for
subsequent years. Clients already owning their own World Wide Web servers
-- and who therefore do not require the start-up services -- can link into
MecklerWeb topic areas representing their target markets for the $25,000
annual subscription fee.

MecklerWeb will be open for public use by the end of September 1994.
Interested parties can obtain more information by sending e-mail to
