If you have bought a house for last 3 years and Seller paid points
or if you bought one of Digital own home 3 years ago then read on:
On March 28, 1994, the IRS announced that it will now allow home
buyers to deduct mortgage point paid by the seller on behalf of
the buyer.
I know a friend who bought one of Digital homes (Digital was offering
buy down points) 3 year ago. He has amend his 1991 taxed and getting
close to $2,000 back.
Pass these to your friends and call me for more detail.

This is true, this was an case where the IRS backed down or lost, from
what I understand, and they believe that it effects a small percentage of
people. The amended return for 1991 would have to be sent prior to
4/15/95. If the seller paid points, for any reason, you may have a
claim.
