| You're all wrong! This word is derived from the Latin "Certus
Complexus" and is used colloquially to describe the method of
disseminating information in such a way that it cannot be understood by
anyone except the author.
Methodolgy also used by the crapulent to simulate sobriety.

| CERPLEX is a company which started in 1990 out of California. They have
signed a contract with DIGITAL to repair some printers and video's
which used to be repaired in NIO, (Salem, NH). The seem to be a growing
company taking on most anything large companies want to sell.
Maybe a good choice of employment!

Everyone failed to answer the base notes question. The answer
is, of course Cerplex is interested!
In what who knows, but they are interested.

| Cerplex and Digital have an agreement where Cerplex will take
X amount of employees (I think about 30) and do disassembly
work for the field service organization. I imagine that they
will do other things as well. I know an engineer that will
be leaving to go to Cerplex with a nice departing Digital
package.

| Re .13
Interested in parts of the Nijmegen operation.
Re .17
Is the x amount of employees you speak of US related or European
related..
CERPLEX GROUP.
The Cerplex Group is a depot repair and contract mfg services org which
provides notebook to PC to Mainframe services including
repair, systemsintegration, end of life product program management, mfg's
warranty and extended warranty services, warehousing and dist services,
board mfg and testing, multivendor services and more...
They are publicly traded NASDAQ [CPLX]
They have 875 people approx..
They have 94 people in Engineering..
They had $78 Million sales in '93
They have facilities in
N.California,S.California,Texas,MASS,PENN,NY,MINN.
They service brands such as
Apple,AST,COMPAQ,DEC,EMULEX,FUJITSU,HP,IBM,LOCKHEED,RADIUS,SAYNO,SIEMANS,
SPECTRA VISION,SUN,TOSHIBA AND WEST DIG. etc...
They sound impressive even if they are small.
The question here is if they do move in what is their long term
intention for Engineering in Nijmegen.
Can a company this size afford to double its engineering staff
and have repair process development work going on in 2 seperate
locations??
Anybody out there know how the ex Decies in Salem like this company?
Thanx for FAX... appreciated..
JC.

| Are there any laws in Holland preventing a "takeover company" from
booting out its newly acquired employees as soon as DEC had washed its
hands of us? Or am I being overly suspicious?

The package offer was from Cerplex and not Digital. Sorry for
any confusion. I was corrected.
